Richard Temple is a poet and writer living in Wales. His poetry has been published in anthologies in the UK and abroad, including Denmark, the USA, India and Japan.
A reading of his poem Atman, accompanied by music composed, performed and recorded himself, was included in the Poetic Phonotheque Project’s permanent collection at Red Door Gallery in Copenhagen. He has also contributed to the online collection for Poetry of Places. He was featured on and interviewed for the Fertile Brains channel in India, and his poem Neuroverse is cited as inspiration on the sleeve of Papi Di4bl0’s 2022 collection Naked Rainbows in the Dark (Vol 1).
Richard is a regular live performer at Cerddi in Cwrw in Carmarthen, and Poets & Peasants in Lampeter, Wales. He reads at spoken word events in Wales and online, performed on the Monkey Poet stage at Unorthodox Paradox music festival, and has appeared at Morecambe Poetry Festival every year since 2023.
Closer to home, he has co-presented the workshop Metaphor & Melody/Trosiad ac Alaw (writing for performance) for Llandeilo Literary Festival and contributed interactive poetry displays to the Art Soup exhibition at Lampeter University Library.
Richard is currently working on his debut science fiction novel, with the working title SpineTrak.
